International Boat Show - Lebanon

From 29 May till 2 June, for the 3rd consecutive year, Beirut will play host to the region's premiere boat and super yacht show - Beirut Boat 2002. This major event is organized by Messe D?sseldorf, organizer of Boot - D?sseldorf the world's largest annual boating and water sports trade fair, and International Fairs and Promotions (IFP), the largest trade fair organizer in the Middle East. The show attracts VIP buyers and visitors from all over the Middle East and Mediterranean region, and presents exceptional opportunities to marine industry suppliers.
Spectacular water and land showcase
This spectacular event will be held at the prestigious La Marina Joseph Khoury, one of the most modern equipped marinas in the region. This unique floating show will showcase super yachts, motorboats and sail boats in the water, while on land visitors will be able to browse the wide range of marine products, accessories and equipment.
Multi-billion US$ investments in marine facilities & leisure
The Middle East market for boats, super yachts, marine equipment and accessories is growing at an exceptional pace. The region currently captures over 20% of market share of super yachts sold worldwide. High disposable incomes and high growth spending rates in the leisure sector have lead to a boom in the boating industry and massive investments in new marina facilities throughout the Middle East.

Egypt is entering Mega Yacht market

Egyptian boat builder DeBirs, which was established in 1998 and specializes in the construction of 24 meter (80 feet) custom GRP motor yachts for the Gulf States, market, has launched its first yacht - an 80ft Raised Pilot House. The yacht will soon be on its way to its owner in the Red Sea area.
The yard based in the Amria Free Zone in Alexandria has orders for a further three 80 footers, two of which are already in construction for Gulf States clients.
