Starting from the Dubai International Marine Club, the challenge will see the British record- hunters to set a world record in speed boats 1000 miles race. Their 40 feet diesel powered SUNSEEKER XS 2000 is ready to tackle the hard race. Twin 420 Hp Yanmar turbo-diesel should reach the speed of around 65-75 knots during the record attempt, the boat will be re-fuelled every 2.5 hours.

Ian Sanderson, Peter Dredge and PJ Stevents have spent the last 3 month in training their selves for physical and mental shape for the challenge. If successful it will put the crew and the boat in the UIM World Record Books.
