After 10 months of racing, while the fleet was delayed about one week from the original schedule, this due to the slack winds in the Doldrums of central Atlantic Ocean. During that stage the advancement of the yacht decreased to several desperate miles per day.
Today the fleet continue to charge East past the Eddyston Light against a 15-20 knots of fresh south to south westerly breeze. The fleet is expected to arrive to the finish line on Saturday 30 June 2001.
